MacroMedics® S-Type baseplates are ergonomically shaped for patient comfort.
Each S-Type baseplate is securely indexed on the couchtop using CouchStrips to guarantee reproducible positioning for every session.
The S-Type profiles feature user-friendly plungers that enhance the fixation, stability, and release mechanisms for head-only or head, neck and shoulder masks, ensuring that patients are positioned accurately and securely.
For treatments requiring shoulder retraction, S-Type baseplates are prepared for the optional attachment of handgrips. These hand grips are specifically designed to help position the patient's shoulders out of the treatment area, reducing exposure and enhancing treatment accuracy. Furthermore, an MR-safe version of the S-Type baseplate is available, offering compatibility with MR-guided radiation therapy systems.
