SABR Solutions available from OSL and Release of the OmniBoard 2.0

August and September promise to be exciting months at Oncology Systems (OSL). Not only are we celebrating the launch of the dedicated SABR Solutions section of the OSL website, but we are also thrilled to announce the release of the OmniBoard 2.0.

The dedicated SABR webpage is your virtual destination for all your patient immobilisation and physics QA requirements. The page features a selection of products, including overview videos, which have been specifically designed for SABR treatment techniques.

OSL clinical specialists are available for product demonstration sessions both in person and virtually. Please contact your clinical specialist for more information.

Also, OSL has planned two webinars: the first focuses on planning and QA, and the second reviewing the immobilisation equipment.

The dates for these webinars are as follows:

SABR - QA is Key: Tuesday 15th September, 12:30 PM, presented by Dr Susan Barley, Head of Medical Physics

SABR - Immobilisation Solutions: Thursday 17th September, 12:30 PM, presented by Patrick Laing, Clinical Specialist.

The original OmniBoard™ was released 5-years ago and transformed patient immobilisation with its all-in-one platform solution which enabled therapists to treat many regions using a range of modular accessories. Manual handling was reduced, patient throughput increased and set up accuracy improved.

The OmniBoard 2.0, continues to add to the proven design of the product. Customers have contributed to the changes and patient positioning has been kept at the forefront. Patient comfort is patient control! Call us to discover how the OmniBoard 2. 0 could revolutionise the way you think about patient immobilisation.

NHS England announced1 in June it is accelerating the use of stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) enabling every part of the country to offer SABR treatment for non-small cell lung cancer and those with lung, lymph nodes and non-spine bone oligometastatic disease, in radiotherapy units nationwide, by April.

OSL understands there is an ever-increasing pressure on an NHS trust’s capital budget and there is always a need and a desire to replace, upgrade, and improve medical equipment to stay at the forefront of the technology. Oncology Systems Finance allows you to spread the cost of Oncology Systems equipment enabling the immediate acquisition, with no capital outlay required. Call us to get a quote or discuss in more detail.

“OSL Finance can reduce the burden on the NHS to find and allocate capital across its many departments. Spreading the cost over a flexible period aids in budget planning and projection as well as enabling the acquisition of much-needed state of the art equipment when it is needed” explains Stuart Southgate, Commercial Manager.

OSL is ready and willing to assist you in setting up, or enhancing your existing, SABR service.
