Oncology Systems Limited (OSL) is committed to conducting its business ethically and with integrity, and to supporting the NHS in tackling modern slavery and human trafficking in healthcare supply chains. Although OSL’s turnover is below the statutory threshold requiring a Modern Slavery statement, we choose to make this voluntary statement to explain how we manage these risks.
OSL supplies specialist radiotherapy equipment and services to the NHS and other healthcare providers. Our direct operations are UK-based, with a small, highly skilled workforce and long-term relationships with a limited number of manufacturers and logistics partners. We recognise that modern slavery risks can arise in global manufacturing and transportation, and we expect our suppliers to comply with all applicable labour, human rights and health and safety legislation.
We are taking the following steps to manage and reduce the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking:
- Including modern slavery and ethical labour expectations in our supplier onboarding and review processes, and prioritising suppliers with robust ESG and compliance programmes.
- Working with our key manufacturing and logistics partners to understand their own modern slavery policies and due diligence arrangements.
- Maintaining internal policies on ethical conduct, whistleblowing and equality, and making staff aware of modern slavery risks relevant to our sector.
- Responding promptly to any concerns raised about labour practices in our supply chain and taking appropriate action where issues are identified.
This voluntary statement is approved by the Managing Director and will be reviewed annually alongside our Sustainability Policy.
